JADE Health – Joint Action addressing Dementia and Health

The JADE Health project was created with the aim of integrating the best practices and validated or cost-effective interventions developed across different European countries in the fields of dementia, other neurological disorders, and related conditions. This objective is pursued through the sharing of transnational pilot initiatives that complement and strengthen existing policies and programmes.

JADE Health is structured as a consortium made up of 39 partners, including research centres, universities, and national institutions from 17 countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine and Hungary. For Italy, the IRCCS Neuroscience and Neurorehabilitation Network participates in the project.

The project represents an opportunity to advance research in the neurological field and contribute to the development of practical solutions that address people’s needs. Furthermore, JADE Health aims to raise public awareness about the importance of preventive measures, healthy lifestyles, and long-term strategies to reduce the impact of dementia.

The project will promote closer cooperation among European countries to tackle dementia and other neurocognitive disorders. Expected outcomes include improved early diagnosis, reduced impact of dementia, and enhanced quality of life for patients and their families. In addition, the project will help promote healthier lifestyles and sustainable solutions, bringing long-term benefits to society.
