The IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre of Brescia is a national center for research and care for mental disorders and Alzheimer’s disease & related dementias. The research programs are an essential aspect of the assistance and allow to discover new treatments and therapies for the benefit of all the community. The IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre has established partnerships with qualified European and American Centers. About six thousand patients with psychiatry diseases and Alzheimer’s disease and associated dementias are treated yearly.
In the IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre 11 laboratories/research units and five Research Services are present as well as an intense clinical activity in psychiatry and Alzheimer’s disease rehabilitation.
The IRCCS Saint John of God Clinical Research Centre of Brescia is part of the Norther Branch of the Saint John of God Hospitaller Order, which is an international Order active in 53 countries all over the world, with about 300 health care Centers operating in collaboration with 45000 co-workers and health professionals. Hospitality is the core value of the Order, as embodied and expressed in the guiding values of quality, respect, responsibility and spirituality.
The legacy of its founder, Saint John of God (1495 -1550) is a mission of hospitality and compassion that has continued and grown over five centuries.
